SNCC & Stokely Carmichael

 Alt: txt Stokely Carmichael  The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, known as SNCC, was a group of young people who wanted to help make life fairer for everyone. They believed that students could make a big difference by working together, learning from one another, and standing up for fairness in peaceful ways. SNCC became one of the most active youth groups of the Civil Rights Movement, and their teamwork inspired people across the country. SNCC was special because it was led mostly by young adults and college students. They believed that young voices mattered and that students could bring fresh ideas and strong energy to important causes. Members traveled, organized meetings, and helped communities learn how to work together.
