Black American Activist
Huey P. Newton Kathleen Neal Cleaver The 1960s marked an important era of leadership, organization, and community action led by Black American activists. During this time, individuals and groups worked together to promote fairness, opportunity, and civic participation. Activists focused on education, voter awareness, and community organization as ways to strengthen neighborhoods and encourage positive change. Their efforts helped shape conversations about leadership, responsibility, and unity.
